Rádio Difusora AM 1070

Rádio Difusora AM 1070 is a Brazilian radio station based in the city of Cajazeiras, in the Sertão Paraibano region of the state of Paraíba, that features music, news/journalism, sports broadcasts, and community information. It officially became a radio station, known as Difusora Rádio Cajazeiras (DRC), on March 19, 1964. The station has a strong regional audience across Paraíba and reaches parts of neighboring states (Ceará, Rio Grande do Norte, and Pernambuco) close to the state borders. Its focus is on a popular and varied format, with a strong emphasis on news/journalism, deportes, and popular music (including Forró, a traditional Northeast Brazilian genre). The station’s origins date back to August 5, 1938, when it began as a difusora (a system of loudspeakers) located around the city of Cajazeiras. Rádio Difusora is known as “a voz do povo no Sertão Paraibano” (the voice of the people in the Paraibano Sertão).
