Radio globo

Rádio Globo is a Brazilian contemporary hits (“popular radio”) format FM radio station based in the city of Rio de Janeiro, capital of the state of the same name, that features a mix of national and international hits across various genres like pagode, sertanejo, funk, rap, and pop. It operates on the FM dial at a frequency of 98.1 MHz. The station is part of the Sistema Globo de Rádio, a division of the larger media conglomerate Grupo Globo. It focuses on contemporary Brazilian hits, sports talk, and debates, all in Portuguese. Between 2001 and 2020, Rádio Globo was the generator and network head of the homonymous radio network.
