Rádio Terra FM

Rádio Terra FM 87.9 is a Brazilian radio station based in the city of Capitão Poço, in the state of Pará, that plays a variety of music genres, including popular Brazilian music, but with a strong emphasis on a regional and community-oriented feel. It provides a platform for local voices and events; it covers local political developments, municipal council issues, public celebrations, and culture. As a community broadcaster, the station’s mission is to serve the local population. Rádio Terra FM has a sports section: one of its programs, “Bola na Terra,” made history by broadcasting the Copa do Brasil match between Remo and Cruzeiro, which was apparently the first time a station from Capitão Poço (at the community level) made such a broadcast. This radio station also features programs dedicated to local journalism, interviews, and public service announcements.
