The station was originally founded in 1980 as Jornal de Brasília FM; over the years, it has also been known as Executiva FM Brasília, Rádio Globo Brasília, and Mais Brasil News. Its programs include music, audience interaction via social media, Entrevistas, journalistic segments, promotion campaigns, and cultural features. In 2023, the station was rebranded as Rádio Norte FM. O slogan da estação é “Na direção da alegria” (translated: “In the direction of joy”).
