Rádio Imprensa Do Funk

Rádio Imprensa Do Funk is a Brazilian internet radio station based in Campos dos Goytacazes, in the state of Rio de Janeiro, that specializes in old-school funk, and its musical segments include flashback, hip-hop, and Black music. It was created to revive “true funk” and is a tribute to the defunct Rádio Imprensa FM 102.1 from Rio de Janeiro, RJ. The station’s tagline (in Portuguese) is “O melhor do funk antigo está aqui!!!” which translates roughly to “The best of old-school funk is here!!!” Rádio Imprensa Do Funk positions itself as playing the “best of old funk.” Its program lineup includes shows such as “Clássicos dos Bailes” (“Classics of the Dance Halls”), “Geral Funk,” “O Melhor dos Bailes,” and “Flash Memories.”
